HB Pro Hemoglobin Control Solution

The BioAid^® Hb pro Hemoglobin Control Solution is used in conjunction with the hemoglobin microcuvette for the quality control of the Hb pro Hemoglobin microcuvette (Model BS-201). And Hb pro Hemoglobin testing system (Model BC-201 and BC-202). The Hb pro hemoglobin microcuvette absorbs 8μL of control solution, then tests on a hemoglobin analyzer at two wavelengths (505 nm and 880 nm), and the results are converted to the corresponding hemoglobin concentrations and displayed on the analyzer's display screen.

The product is a liquid stable control prepared from bovine hemoglobin with added chemicals, constituents of animal origin, preservatives and stabilizers. The control does not include human resource materials.

The quality control solution has batch specificity and is a non-fixed quality control, and the hemoglobin control solution refers to the test results of the hemoglobin analyzer produced by the company and the hemoglobin microcuvette to determine the target range. For specific reference ranges, please refer to the bottle label.

Allow all test materials to reach room temperature prior to testing. Refer to the Hb pro Hemoglobin

Testing System User's Manual for detailed instructions.

1. Required equipment: hemoglobin microcuvette, hemoglobin analyzer.

2. Before testing, the quality control solution should be brought to 10℃-40℃.Mix the control solution by gentle inversion 5 times immediately before sampling. Open the vial and discard the first drop.

3. Take one microcuvette from the bottle.

4. Dispense a second drop of the control solution onto a hydrophobic plastic or glass slide with an appropriate diversion device, or add the control solution directly to the microcuvette.

5. The hemoglobin control solution should be continuously absorbed by the microcuvette at one time while making sure there is no air bubble in the cell. If there is, it should be discarded and tested with a new microcuvette. Do not re-fill. Wipe off any excess liquid on the surface of the microcuvette with a clean, lint-free cloth. Do not touch the filling end of the microcuvette.

6. Place the microcuvette on the holder within 40 seconds after filling, and gently push the holder inside the analyzer. Once the holder enters the testing area, the analyzer will start testing.

7. Wait 2 seconds for the test result to appear. The result will always be displayed on the screen if the holder stays inside the analyzer.

If the test result is within the reference range of the control solution, the quality evaluation is passed; If the test results are not within the reference range of the control solution, the following issues should be checked:

1. Whether the microcuvette or control solution has exceeded the expiration date.

2. Whether the control solution is fully shaken/mixed before testing.

3. Whether the operation process is carried out in full accordance with the microcuvette instructions and analyzer instructions.

If all of the above moves were performed correctly, take a new microcuvette for another test. If the results of the repeat test still cannot pass, please contact your local dealer.
